http://sunyatarecordings.bigcartel.com/product/sun001-aesahaettr-aesahaettr-cassette

100 purple cassettes, each copy is hand numbered.

I'll be sending them out from 23rd August.

Many thanks if you've been following or reading the blog at all.
If this release isn't your thing then please check out ENSORCELOR http://www.myspace.com/ensorcelor. Watch the crushing live video they've posted on there too!

If you aren't in the UK/Europe then I suggest you go buy the Media Tree version of this release. It might save you some shipping cost and we'd love overseas fans to support them.

There's a little delay with the tape art work for SUN001 but it should be ready within the next two weeks. PROMISE. In the mean time I'm stuck babysitting a whole box of pretty purple cassettes waiting to be clothed and sent out to
bedroom blackmetallers all over the place.
Here's info about what's to expect soon.
100 copies.

description from our fam at Media Tree
"A blizzard of snowblind guitars and mesmerizing dark rhythms that transcend speed and brutality and become ecstatic undulations of white noise. inhuman voices echoing from the aurora beckon to you from beyond. frostbitten, entrancing, supernatural black metal; like charging into battle across windswept tundra on the back of a svalbard bear."

Track Listing:

A1: Svalbard Infinite
A2: The Sundering Blade of Bolvangar
A3: The Fury of the Panserbjorn
A4: Among witches
B1: Æsahættr

£5ppd UK/£6ppd Rest of World

The start of many labours of love.

It is with great pleasure that I can announce that Sunyata just received the masters for a forthcoming Aesahaettr tape. Now, as much as I gushed out over Ensorcelor, I'd also like to tell you how happy I am to be actively involved in this band's release.

Aesahaettr is not to be confused with (but no doubt will be confused with) the new Fall of Efrafa project which is of exact name and similar concept around Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials series. They are a Canadian black metal band that play in frozen melody and grace. I would compare their most memorable and heartfelt moments with Remains of the Day if you asked me to, but it's worth the attention of any Immortal fan or black metal listener.

Like with any band I hope to work with, I love them, thank you for letting me a part of it.

More as and when we know.

Ensorcelor

I couldn't even begin to tell you how enraptured I am with this band. I'm dying to work with this band / be in this band / see this band / wear their shirts / give them money.
Ensorcelor play crazily good blackened doom that is up there with the likes of Samothrace, with vocals that spur uneasiness as urgent as Majority Rule or the Spirit of Versailles.

They're playing shows with Monarch! in Canada in a matter of days. Why the fuck am I not in Canada?
